Biography


John Leslie ( Les) Guinness was born on 3 January 1900 in Reefton, West Coast, his father, John, was 49 and his mother, Eva, was 34. He married Florence Eleanor (Billie) Blackwell on 1 June 1927 in Paparoa, Northland. They had two children during their marriage. He died on 29 September 1986 at the age of 86.
