Biography


Florence Eleanor (Billie) Blackwell was born on 20 August 1905 in Paparoa, Northland, her father, Frank, was 43, and her mother, Annie, was 36. She married John Leslie ( Les) Guinness on 1 June 1927 in her hometown. They had two children during their marriage. She died on 20 November 1987 in Auckland at the age of 82.
