Christopher Rowland Richardson


Son of William Richardson and Anna Maria Lacy. .

Born in Bengal, India in 1785, the twenty-fifth year of the reign of King George III, and died aged seventy-nine in the twenty-seventh year of the reign of Queen Victoria  He has 147 direct descendants in the family.


Christopher Rowland Richardson (Sen).was born in 1785 in Calcutta, West Bengal, India, his father, Captain William Richardson, was 47 and his mother, Anna Maria Lacy , He married Martha Ann Humphreys in 1812 in Montgomery, Montgomeryshire.
He married Martha Ann Humphreys in 1812 in Montgomery, Montgomeryshire before returning to Calcutta.
He was the manager of of the family indigo plantation at Kumtoul/Tirhoot until around 1846.

They had nine children in 42 years. He died on 19 June 1864 in Reading, Berkshire, having lived a long life of 79 years, and was buried in Kensal Green, catacombs. London
