Born in Surbiton, Surrey in 1896, the fifty-ninth year of the reign of Queen Victoria, and died aged sixty-two in the seventh year of the reign of Queen Elizabeth II

Biography


Lt Com. John Aldersley Dicken RN was born on 23 September 1896 in Surbiton, Surrey, his father, Rear Adm. Charles Gauntlett Dicken, was 42 and his mother, Ada Byron was 29. He had step two brothers.

He died on 8 April 1959 in Winchester, Hampshire, at the age of 62, and was buried there.
