Born in 1893, the fifty-sixth year of the reign of Queen Victoria, and died aged eighty-five in the twenty-sixth year of the reign of Queen Elizabeth II

Biography


Alfred Norman Pither was born on 11 February 1893 in Henley On Thames, Oxfordshire, his father, Alfred, was 32 and his mother, Helena, was 27. He had one brother and two sisters. He died on 19 March 1978 in his hometown at the age of 85.
