John Dingley Richardson



Born in Limehouse, London, England in 1773, the thirteenth year of the reign of King George III, and died aged sixty-three in the year Queen Victoria took to the throne.

The Dingley name


Born in Limehouse in 1773 and named after his father's employer, Charles Dingley.
Joined the partnership of Sales & Pollard, Tobacconists and Snuff Manufacturers, of 72 Aldersgate Street, some time before 1810. In 1832 was living at 9 Upper Bedford Place. In 1835 became a partner in the Limehouse timber yard with his brother Christopher.
