Ann Rebecca Richardson



Born in Limehouse, London in 1784, the twenty-fourth year of the reign of King George III, and died aged seventy-seven in Tonbridge, Kent in the twenty-fourth year of the reign of Queen Victoria

Litigation in the family


In 1839 Ann took her brother to Court to recover the two thousands pounds she had lent to him two years previously. He was now a bankrupt. The Court ruled that she could not pursue the case. To read the full story, check out the Court Proceedings in the Library.
