Biography


James Roy Notter Garton born 27 Sep 1898 was the son of William Garton.

He married, firstly, Sheila Margaret Byron, daughter of Colonel Richard Byron and Mabel Mackenzie Winter, on 7 June 1923
He and Sheila Margaret Byron were divorced in 1929.

He married, secondly, Pamela Thetis Beckett, daughter of Hon. Rupert Evelyn Beckett and Muriel Helen Florence Paget, on 6 March 1929.
He and Pamela Thetis Beckett were divorced in 1930.

He died in 1937. He was also reported to have died in 1939.
He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the King's Royal Rifle Corps.
