Rear Admiral Cathcart Romer Wason was born on July 20, 1874, his father, Eugene, was 28 and his mother, Eleanor, was 26. He married Helen Muriel Graham and they had one son together. He then married Agnes ( Ness) Emma Edwards in September 1918 in London,England.


In the Royal Navy was Commander in 1908, Captain in 1916 and served in the Persian Gulf and what is now Iraq. He was mentioned in despatches and made CMG in 1916 and CIE in 1919. He was promoted to Rear Admiral (retired) in 1927. He became a JP in Somerset and split his time between Somerset and London. In 1923 he went into partnership with Lt Col Charles Richardson IV in the lime, cement and brick business set up by Charles Richardson II at Paddington and Vauxhall


He died , 12 Dec 1941 at Cheyne Cottage, Cossington , near Bridgwater, Somerset, England Left 20000 pounds in will ,at the age of 67.
