Margaret Mary Steuart is the daughter of Francis Gerald Steuart.

She married Lt.-Col. Richard Geoffrey Gordon Byron, 12th Baron Byron of Rochdale, son of Colonel Richard Byron and Mabel Mackenzie Winter, on 8 June 1926.
She and Lt.-Col. Richard Geoffrey Gordon Byron, 12th Baron Byron of Rochdale were divorced in 1946.
From 8 June 1926, her married name became Byron.
