Gladys Beryl Coddington is the daughter of Lt.-Col. Arthur Blaney Coddington. and her mother, Ellen, was 27 .She was born on 23 July 1879 in Gibraltar.



She was married three times and had two sons.



1-Firstly :She married General Sir Charles Bonham Carter, son of Henry Bonham Carter and Sibella Charlotte Norman, on 22 February 1902.

From 22 February 1902, her married name became Bonham Carter.

She died on 4 April 1946 in South Africa at the age of 66.
