Dorigen Margaret Esdaile was the daughter of Percival Kennedy Esdaile.

She married Lt.-Col. Richard Geoffrey Gordon Byron, 12th Baron Byron of Rochdale, son of Colonel Richard Byron and Mabel Mackenzie Winter, on 8 August 1946.
She died in 1985.
From 8 August 1946, her married name became Byron. After her marriage, Dorigen Margaret Esdaile was styled as Baroness Byron of Rochdale in 1983.
